Biography: Prof. Thomas Bock’s research activities centre since 35 years on robotic construction, including aspects such as design, prefabrication, on site robotics, robotic building maintenance, recycling and assistive technologies for elderly for independent life, work, and mobility. He authored more than 500 articles and books and is a member of the editorial and directing boards of several top journals, conferences, R&D projects, and industry associations of his filed of expertise.

Biography: Dr. VPS Naidu currently works at the Flight Mechanics and Control Division (NAL), National Aerospace Laboratories. Dr. VPS does research in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electronic Engineering. Their current project is 'sensor data fusion'.

Speech Title: The Fourth Industrial Revolution: Industry 4.0
Abstract: Industry 4.0 is an unique phenomena that aims to transform conventional production methods into a highly flexible manufacturing framework of digitalized items with real-time intercommunication among workers, products, and equipment. Manufacturers may use smart equipment to generate intelligent products under the Industry 4.0 idea. The goal is to develop smart factories that will revolutionise the present production and manufacturing processes.
I 4.0 technology and critical factors for Industry 4.0 application in the manufacturing industry in emerging nations like India are the major focus of this presentation, since the existing literature reveals that the manufacturing sector is still sceptical about Industry 4.0 adoption.
Managers and policymakers will be able to examine the influence of factors on each other if they have a thorough understanding of I4.0 technologies and key variables.
Biography: Prof. Vineet Jain is working as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mewat Engineering College, Palla, District Nuh, Mewat, Haryana, India. He received the PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, India. He completed his B.E Mechanical with honours from N.I.T. Kurukshetra, India and M. Tech (Manufacturing and Automation) with honours from the YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad, India. His areas of interest are manufacturing technology, operation research and decision making with expertise in ISM, GTMA, EFA, CFA, SPSS, AMOS, ANFIS, GA, TLBO and MADM, like AHP, TOPSIS, VIKOR, PROMETHEE, etc. He possesses more than 19 years’ experience in teaching and industry. He has written three books in mechanical engineering. Published paper in an international journal like Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, Inderscience, etc. and presented in international and national conferences.
